Branch chipping and practical site clean-up

Chipping makes tree branches easier to handle and can turn suitable green waste into useful mulch. We plan access, equipment and the finish you want before starting. Standalone chipping jobs and clearance after our own tree work are assessed around the material and site.

On-site branch chipping

Process suitable branches during pruning, removal or clearing work.

Keep the chip

Leave material in an agreed tidy pile for you to age and use where appropriate.

Remove green waste

Price removal when you need the work area cleared.

Larger clearing jobs

Coordinate crew and commercial chipping equipment for substantial volumes.

Aged garden mulch

Use our separate mulch supply service if you need stocked, aged arborist mulch.

Planned material handling

Agree chip placement, timber handling and access before the crew arrives.

What affects the cost of a chipping job?

Send clear photos of the piles and an estimate of the volume. Tell us whether timber is mixed through the branches and how the material can be reached.

Site access, loading requirements, volume and disposal all affect the crew and equipment needed. We assess the material rather than assuming every pile can be chipped in the same way.

Specify whether you want chip left on site or removed. For garden mulch ready for collection or delivery, use our separate aged mulch service.

Before we start

Frequently asked questions

Can you chip branches cut by someone else?

Often, yes. Send photos, approximate volume and access details so we can assess a standalone chipping job.

Can I keep the wood chip?

Yes, where agreed. We can leave it in a suitable on-site pile. Discuss its intended use and placement when requesting the quote.

Can you take the chipped material away?

Yes. Removal can be included in the quote, or suitable material can remain on site.

Is fresh chip the same as your aged mulch?

No. On-site chipping produces fresh material. Our separate mulch supply service stocks arborist mulch aged for at least four weeks. See that page for pickup and delivery details.
