This emergency tree removal near Warkworth began after a large stem from a mature pūriri failed across the only access to a construction site near Martins Bay.
That was the situation on Martins Bay Road, near Warkworth, after a major stem failed from a mature pūriri tree and completely blocked the site accessway. Contractors, vehicles and machinery could no longer get in or out, bringing construction work to an immediate standstill.
